Human Trafficking

one_in_six

Sexual abuse of boys is underreported, therefore underrepresented.

1 out of every 6 boys will be sexually assaulted before the age of 16 years of age.

Broken trust and loss of personal boundaries can then lead to confusion of sexual intimacy and loathing of self – leading to reckless behavior.

50_percent

Boys make up half of CSEC victims.

A study by The John Jay College and the Center for Court Innovation estimated that, in 2008, as high as 50% of the commercially sexually exploited (CSE) children in the United States were boys.

Estimated age of entry into commercial sexual exploitation is 12 – 14 years old, but due to male victims being underreported it could actually be much younger.
